What the service includes ↓About the service
Installing the software is only the first step towards selling through iiko. Your menu needs to be prepared, kitchen preparation areas assigned, payment methods configured and employee access defined. These settings connect the cashier, kitchen and management system. iiko provides tools for managing menus, till operations, staff and inventory, but the way your business uses them needs to be established during implementation.
What does the initial setup include?
OpenService helps prepare your database for its first sales. Initial configuration covers the menu, items available for sale, up to ten employees with appropriate access permissions, stock locations and preparation areas, payment types, standard discounts and surcharges. Cash paid into and taken out of the till can also be configured where required.
Before work begins, the initial information should be agreed: dish names and prices, menu structure, employee list and accepted payment methods. This avoids having to make organisational decisions while serving guests.
How do you check whether the system is ready?
Readiness is not measured by the number of completed records. It is measured by whether a real operating scenario works from start to finish. A cashier must be able to find a dish, enter an order and select the correct payment method. The order must reach the right preparation area, and the resulting transactions must appear in the system.
That is why a launch should include testing the complete order process, not just individual settings.
Can you start without recipe cards?
Yes. A launch without recipe cards is available. However, preparing the till for sales does not replace setting up inventory accounting. Accurate recipes and stock movement records are needed to calculate ingredient consumption and food costs.
